Joe Feather, born in Leeds, is a professional golfer. He turned professional in 2007 and completed his PGA training in May 2011, meaning he is now fully qualified. Joe is based at Leeds Golf centre, where he has played and represented since the age of 13, and worked since 2008. With his training behind him Joe competed full time on the PGA Europro tour in 2011. Then during an injury marred 2012 Joe had planned to split his full year between the PGA Europro Tour and the Alps Tour and finish his season with Qualifying Tournaments for the European Tour. Then in 2013 Joe ventured further afield, playing in Q school for the Asian Tour, gaining a card for the second tier tour in Asia; The ADT Tour. After 3 events, during the Asian 'Rainy Season' Joe returned home to compete on the English Tour and in Open Qualifying. However a reoccurrence of a back injury meant Joe's season was curtailed, which saw him out of competitive action until late September.
Joe works and teaches at Leeds Golf Centre. Situated 10 minutes North of Leeds City Centre and 15 minutes from Harrogate; Leeds Golf Centre is a fantastic environment for teaching and learning alike. Despite an injury stricken 2012-2013 he played some of his finest Golf, registering 2 emphatic victories blowing away the field by 3 and 4 shots respectively. Setting a course record 8 under par in the process at The Flaxby. Joe has now had Six victories in 3 years in 1836 Tour and Yorkshire PGA Tournaments, with 12 other top 5 finishes and another 10 top 10 finishes under his belt; on the English Tour, 1836 Tour, PGA North Region, and Europro Tour. Including 5th place in Regional Qualifying of the Open Championship 2011, leading to a place in Final Qualifying, as well as Top 3 finishes on the Northern pro tour.
With Joe unable to compete in European Tour Qualifying School due to his Back injury, Joe is planning to compete in the UK in 2014, with a view to competing at European Tour Q school in September 2014.
